I've been reading up on this game and it's shaping up to be good...at least from my play style. This game is being developed by the orginal EQ devs and being supported, published and hosted by Microsoft...

Hmm Brad McQuaid and his vision on how MMO's should be..

One thing I don't like about this guy is that all the stuff in EQ when it came out said it couldn't be done but when he was gone, they were able to do it. Such as the Hell Levels as we called them (30, 35, 40, 45). They said it was a bug in the XP and how it was done and couldn't be fix, but yet they later fixed it.

Now the thing is, are the shots really like that in game play? Will have to see and this game is what many are waiting for that are tired with SOE and their crap on some stuff.

A lot of hype over this game but there was a lot of hype over EQ2. I know Brad was one of the people that made EQ a pita in its early days, but then it was based on MUDDS and a new type of game. I also don't think the charaters graphics are all that good, look real close to EQ character /puke. Maybe they'll do some touch up on them and I know graphics dont make the game but damnit I like good graphics:P

There was a TON of hype over how much better WOW was going to be than EQ2. How much bizzard wasn't going to make the EQ mistakes, and no they didn't make them.....they made all new mistakes to piss off their player base.

I guess what i'm saying here is don't believe the hype till you've seen it yourself.

Nothing, anywhere, is going to make 'everyone' happy...

I think as time goes on, it will be harder and harder in this current game medium to "Wow" players.

That being said... I hear people bitching about Sony daily. I happen to be really enjoying the game and think they've done a great job. Could it be better, sure. Is there stuff lacking at this point, yes. Do I agree with all the changes they've made, even ones that have made it easier for me to level, no.

Making a whole wide world like they've done takes a lot of time and this world is evolving with player impact.

All in all I think they've done an awesome job. :)

I don't know..I wouldn't call 4,000,000 subscibers a mistake I say :P

The only issues I have with MMORPG's these days is end game - WoW only has raids and zerg PvP

as far as I've seen, EQ2 just has the raids.

Now I find myself asking....


What's the point in all the Uber gear from the raids of there's nothing to do with it once you've gotten all the best gear?
