Title: Greetings everyone
Description: Allow me to introduce myself

Tabiani - February 18, 2006 07:01 AM (GMT)
Thanks for the invite to your raid Thursday. Been a long time since I've raided and I had a blast. I've played EQ2 since the start and Oasis makes my fourth server. Hmm, I didn't quite realize how serious this refugee thing was in EQ2.

We've been invited for tomorrow (Saturday) again so I wanted to stop by and introduce myself.

I've been playing MMOs since the early days of EQ1. My guild for nearly all of the 5 1/2 years I played EQ1 was a family guild that raided somewht irregularly. Towards the end we were in a three-guild alliance that raided but never much more than once a week. Most of the guild moved to Crushbone at release of EQ2 but left for WoW soon after. I took up residence briefly on Blackburrow with a couple folks from the alliance but that didn't last and I ended up on Steamfont by early Jan 05 as Tabiani.

Aside from a couple brief breaks, I've been playing Tabi as my main but I did move my characters from Crushbone and Blackburrow. I currently play:

Tabiani 59 Defiler - 53 Woodworker
Cynnibar 32 Swashbuckler - 46 Alchemist
Nandarya 20 Bruiser - 25 Weaponsmith

About myself. I'm a role player from way back. Got introduced to D&D by friends in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) back in college when it was the 3 little books. Started computer gaming in the Apple ][ days. Joined the Navy in 85 and was overseas during most of the early online days (Neverwinter Nights, Meridian, UO) but had just been stationed in Hawaii and got cable when EQ1 came out. I played off and on around various deploments and such until I retired from the Navy in 2005. I've then moved back to Ohio and I'm going back to school here shortly.

Aside from EQ I've tried out quite a few others but only played Earth and Beyond, Horizons, and Guild Wars for much beyond the trial period. The longest was E&B for nearly a year. My record for the shortest was getting into the Wish Beta just a couple days before they pulled the plug.

While I enjoy raiding, I'm not a dedicated 5-times-a-week type raider. But I've definitely missed it being in a guild that is currently too small for content much beyond one group stuff. I play quite a bit (more that I should :o ) but my schedule can be a bit irregular.

Well, again, looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Hi there!

What did you do in the Navy?

You sound a lot like my fiance... puter geek heh, D&D.... ex-Navy.. he used to work on nuclear submarines.

Hi again. Another fun raid, although we owe the Sunchild big time. To answer a couple questions.

Trebor: I'm currently in Mentor, that's east of Cleveland OH.

Davyna: I joined the Navy for computer repair. It was mainframes and minis back then and mostly for the tactical data systems on surface ships. My part of the Data Systems (DS) rating was merged with Fire Controlmen (FC) in the mid 90's and I learned how to shoot missiles and guns.

I'll probably play Cynnibar or one of my other alts the rest of the weekend. No point in wasting the exp bonus on a level 60! Poor little rat is feeling neglected, anyway.

Greetings and welcome! =-)

The Sunchild must die... just as soon as we figure out how to get all our tanks over 20k HP... hehehe

Lets kill Moonchild first lol, something interestin I read is that when you do the instance enought, everything becomes agro, including the ghosts that spawn and that they agro you instead of going out for Sunchild.

Greetings Tabi!

Glad you are having fun raiding, even though we may not beat the mob at all times. We aren't the best, but we do try and see what we can do. We don't raid all the time also, Mainly on Thursdays and on weekends depending on roster activity.

I know there isn't much on this part of the forums, come join us and see where all the action is :P
